"Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys" and brother Johnnie Lee both used Flxible Clippers as their band tour bus. Some of Bob's most recognized recordings include Steel Guitar Rag (1936), Right or Wrong (1936), and New San Antonio Rose (1940) just to name a few. Johnnie Lee had his start in 1933 with brother Bob but later in the 1940's became "Johnnie Lee Wills and His Boys"
A 1945 Custom built Clipper. Note the absence of the standard rear baggage door. This bus had bays under the coach along with extra height for added headroom. Flxible Factory photo.
