Heating and Cooling.

I got so sick of watching that temp gauge, I got a school busfront heater core, and placed it
right behind the front axle, piped it in series with two moregate valves for winter bus heat and
summer the new cooler or both. I found it better to shut off thebus heaters for summer due to
its just holding more hot water with no way to cool it. I addedabout six more gal to the system.
now my shutter open at 179* Also I put a air stop light switchin the out side of the shutter
control with light on the dash . I positively know when they openand close matching the temp gauge.

For that stinky holdingtank that seemsto be the worst traveling in the summertime try this. Place aZip Lock bag about half full of water in the bottom of your toilet. This will seal the bad odors from coming up through the toiletfrom the holding tank while traveling.

Screens on your windows are always difficult to install and arenot needed most of the time. A quick easy solution if you havea non Aluminum skin is to cut a Vinyl screen a bit larger thanthe window and place it over the window you want protected andhold it in place with several small magnets. Easy to put on andand quick to remove and store when not needed.

Clipper Overheating Problems | | |See also ClipperCooler

A couple of ideas I've tried and works forme is I use the front heater as another small radiator. Took thedefroster and put on plastic pipe from the outlet and exhaustit below. Comes out just behind the front bumber. You would besurprised how much heat comes out there. It works for me, and onlyneed it when climbing up thru the hills. I have the Dodge 440.Found a van in the salvage yard that had a 19"fan blade, withthe clutch, and now I can hear that fan howling when it's runningfast. Never could hear it before. Also another idea it to puta smaller pulley on the water pump. There are companies that makeracing pumps that move much more water. An interesting idea isa company that sells a liquid that boils at a much higher temp.Check out www.evanscooling.comit's interesting.
Also here is an address for a company that makes fans for trucksup to 36" in diameter. www.flex-a-lite.com

To get full power to anystarter.

Go to a truck parts store and get ends that need to be soldered, and use arc welding cable. Also make a second cable to run fromthe starter back to the ground post. This works very good for 04& 06 busses. They had long cables that were grounded to aluminum. Also, solenoids come in intermidiate or continuous duty. Againtruck part places have them. And last, directional solenoids fortrucks are heavy duty and you can add as many lights as you wantand the flasher allways stays the same.

Subject: Air Bladder InstallationTip.

Hey guys -
While installing a new air bladder on our Flex, I had a brainstorm
that might just save someone else some future trouble.

The rear frame member was super rusty, and I was worried aboutthe rust
transferring to the end cap of the new suspension bladder. (Theold
air spring had gone bad due to rusted out end caps.) So I cutpieces
of plastic from a 5-gallon joint compound bucket the same sizeas the
new air spring end caps.

Then the new air springs were re-installed with the plasticinsulators
keeping the rusty frame away from the new parts.

This type plastic is impervious to UV light, road salt, fueland
battery acid. This is a great preventative fix, especially whenbolting
dis-similar metals together. A good example would be joining the
aluminum battery tray to the steel frame.
